Boat tails use buoyant lift as well as planing lift |
Single fin Midlength
A singlefin surfboard with the wide point forward The image shows Roy Stuart pouring fluoro green resin on the softly rounded tail of a singlefin midlength surfboard design. The tail has a slight ridge right at the trailing edge consistent with Displacement theory. Similarly, the rails are soft to accomodate the lifting and sinking of the tail The surfboard is an example of seventies singles design which is becoming more mainstream. Compare with Reno Abillera, Jerry Lopez, Ben Aipa surfboards.
