Rocker comparison: Phil Edwards and Roy Stuart

"Color me a little surprised. Above is a screen shot of *my rendering* of Roy's spherical 13'9" rocker, marked up with the red guide points showing the standard rocker for the old Clark 10-3 blank, designed by Phil Edwards. I got it straight out of the 2005 Clark catalog PDF so I know it's legit. 

Assuming I got them all correct (and I believe I did) I think one of these measurements (right at the tail of the Clark blank) varies by 1/4"; the rest vary by less than that.

The custom board builders commonly order tweaked versions of those blanks, some with more rocker and others with less. Nevertheless, it looks like the center of Roy's rocker falls right in the range of the conventional boards from the 1960s. 

To be honest this isn't what I expected to find."
